Cruise is a relaxing word. You imagine deck chairs, ocean breezes - and no responsibilities. The word lets your thoughts drift at sea - unless you’re my husband.
John feels confined on ships, he feels confined in the tuxedo he’s expected to wear to formal dinners on board and he can’t be conned into feeling fine about it.
When in doubt - or you can’t get your way - compromise. We compromised by sailing on a small ship - eighty passengers, casual dress and one seating for meals with a set menu.

Greece… Islands you say? Party? Cruises? Ancient civilizations?
Sure, you are completely right, and in this article I’ll try to avoid that. There’s a lot more in Greece apart from the coast, even if I have to admit that the cruise options are some of the favorites around the world.
First of all, I would like to make clear that Greece has some myths that are untrue. The first of all them is that Athens is a precious city. Look, I understand that the name sounds very good, at least we Europeans even have the Greek Yogurt (which I still don’t know why it is called like this) and the idea of the ancient civilizations living there sincerely attracts all of us.

Think of a cruise and you’ll probably think of the open waves and enjoying the many benefits of a cruise ship while surrounded by nothing more than ocean on all sides. But a cruise does not always set sail on an ocean. Some of the best cruises the world has to offer are actually river cruises, and what they might lack in distance travelled they certainly make up for in sights to see.
Are River Cruises Shorter Than Normal Cruises?

As a 30 year cruise industry veteran, website, I can honestly say that I am perplexed as to why more people seem to be jumping overboard. It is certainly tragic when this occurs and the news media seems to report these phenomena more frequently and with more in-depth coverage than other similar events. This probably because cruising is in and of itself more interesting and sexy than most other forms of leisure travel. And approximately 85% of all North Americas have not taken a cruise so there is an element of mystery to the process.

So it’s time for that vacation and you choose the Alaska Cruise Vacation. Well, first off, you should probably find out just what exactly you’re getting yourself into so let’s start with the basics.
The Alaska Cruise Vacation is very popular, for starters. The first thing you need to decide when planning your Alaskan vacation is which season you would like to set sail in. For most people, they choose the summer months because not only is the water warmer but also the day are a lot longer compared to the days in the winter months. Longer days means more time to explore the Alaskan terrain and all it has to offer in the amount of time you have at each port.

Have you ever noticed how some of your friends seem to get away on a lot of holidays each year? Maybe they’re just lucky, or maybe they know the secrets to finding cheap airline tickets.
Before internet usage became so common, the trick to finding the best deals on flights often involved waiting until the very last moment and then phoning a specialist flight broker.
Such brokers were often able to offer extremely competitive last minute deals, allowing you access to cheap prices. They were able to get their hands on cheap tickets because some airlines would find themselves with excess capacity and would look to brokers to fill seats.

For many who live in areas that see a lot of snow in the wintertime, it is a time of year that they try to stay inside as much as possible and avoid the elements. However, what if the elements were not so cold? Just because it is winter in one region does not mean it is winter everywhere else! While your home may be frozen, there are plenty of places that are warm enough for a relaxing outdoor vacation.
One of the best vacations to take to escape the cold north is a cruising tour further south. Imagine – instead of shivering in your home, you could be seeing the wonders of Egypt in beautiful weather.
